We Can Officially Add More Fuel To The Giannis Going To Golden State Fire
Ok I'm going to have to ask you to stay with me here because I'm starting to think something is most definitely up between Giannis and Steph Curry. I'll grant you that this theory is partly a result of like 46% quarantine brain but there have also been enough clues and hints over the last few years to make this about as legit as it gets.
Like many accounts, ESPN put out an isolation game question on their Instagram. No big deal, pretty much everyone is doing some form of this in order to help pass the time and spark debate
Now, to the naked eye you may not realize what was happening here. But then we get a certain someone providing their answer in the comments
Now wait a goddamn minute. On the surface you're probably saying Giannis just wants to be in a house with GOATs. You could argue each member of House 5 fits that description. But you see when it comes to these things you have to read in between the lines. I have to remind you that there has been smoke about a Giannis/GS partnership for some time now. It first showed up last February when Marc Stein said this
“Yet it’s likewise undeniably true that Steph and Giannis are buddies who are both represented by the same agency (Octagon) and share a mutual admiration that has resulted in Curry and Antetokounmpo selecting each other first overall with the No. 1 overall picks as captains in the first two All-Star drafts.
I can promise you, furthermore, that the Warriors have internally mused about a run at Giannis — however futile it may prove to be — in the event they can’t convince Kevin Durant to re-sign this summer. Trying to sign the most attractive free agent available is on the first page of the Golden State owner Joe Lacob’s playbook.”
Then this idea popped up AGAIN in September of this season
Alright, not all that shocking right? Everyone wants Giannis in 2021. This is just the media doing what the media does and talking nonsense, right? Well. You'll then remember this past January we had this little interaction
Remember how clear it was that these two enjoyed playing together during the All Star game?
and now we have our latest breadcrumb that something is up. Clearly they are hiding in plain sight and anyone with a brain can see what is happening here. If GOATs were what he was interested in joining, why not House 1? WHY NOT THE HOUSE THAT HE IS ACTUALLY IN?????
Call me crazy if you want. Tell me this is all nothing and just a silly game on Instagram. I say wake up. I know Bucks fans probably don't want to be reading this, but there is too much out there to just completely ignore it. I can't imagine Giannis would want to pull a Durant and join a super team, but then again it's clear players today don't really give a shit about that. Giannis is an all time player who is going to need a ring to truly cement his legacy, just like Durant was. I don't know how the Warriors make the money work but I do know they have a proven track record of making salary cap magic.
Maybe Giannis and Steph are good friends. But maybe, just maybe, they are future teammates. I think it goes without saying that if that actually happens, well then it's once again a wrap for the rest of the league.
